Get to Know Us

Our journey in paragliding began with our lead instructor, who took to the skies in 1997 and has been flying passionately ever since. Khushroo began his teaching career in 1999 alongside Sidney in Virar, Mumbai, inspiring countless individuals to discover the freedom and adventure of paragliding. Among them was his daughter, Naasha, who not only embraced the sport but went on to become an instructor herself. Today, she co-runs Paragliding Bawas with him at Kankeshwar, Alibaug—just south of Mumbai, India.

As we’ve grown, so has our vision. We now collaborate with a variety of experienced instructors to offer our students a richer, more diverse perspective of the sport, and to introduce them to as many unique paragliding sites as possible. Together, we’re committed to shaping confident, world-ready pilots with unforgettable flying experiences.

Instructor Qualifications

1: All our instructors are Internationally certified and providing international level knowledge and training at FAI and ACI approved standards.

2: At Paragliding Bawas, we collaborate with a team of highly skilled instructors from India and abroad, each bringing years of experience across diverse flying sites. This allows our students to benefit not only from top-tier training, but also from a rich blend of global perspectives, insights, and real-world expertise—enhancing every stage of their paragliding journey.

Training focused

1: We dedicate our entire day to your training as long as you wish to train we will be there training you. We do not have an hour frame work of operation, we want to make the most of each day.

2: We cover theory and practice until all your concepts are clear and your skills are at the level you wish them to be. You will be given an exam at each level to help clarify any doubts and ensure you have the necessary knowledge and skill to keep you safe.

3: Our instructors believe that each individual has their own rate of progress and we focus on allowing each student to learn at their own pace, which is usually pretty fast comparatively.

4: We can provide courses in English, Hindi, and Gujrati.- For international students English is our first language and we will have no trouble communicating.

Co-founders background

1: Our instructors, Khushroo has a masters degree in Human Recourse Development, a corporate experience in leadership development for some of the best organizations like Godrej, Times of India, Tatas, Shell

2: Naasha has a masters degree in sports psychology and has worked with schools and college teams to enhance their performance, this gives us an unmatched ability to train students.

Unique offers

1: We provide a students for life program for all those who wish to be in this sport for the long term, your training for life is free. We will not keep asking you to pay for the instructions you will continue to need as you progress in this sport.

2: We are also the only school in the country who offer SOLO flights on day 2 of training, we can do this because we will train you through the day and not limit your training time to an hourly schedule.

3: For all currently certified pilots from other schools who do not yet have the confidence to fly independently, contact us for our refresher training, we are focused on helping you build the skills and confidence to enjoy the sport of paragliding independently. We have had great success in this aspect. We will refine not just your practical skill but also help develop your theoretical base for the sport in order to help your competence as an independent pilot.

Safety Norms

1: We follow strict regulations when it comes to our safety protocols.

2: We regularly conduct equipment checks of two types. 1- before each flight and after; 2- a six monthly equipment airworthiness tests.

3: All instructors are First aid certified
