7 days after P3, come for your P4 
Intermediate pilot, with thermal flying and XC.

After completing P3 you can join us at your intermediate pilot training. (IPPI 3 equivalent)

This training takes place in the month of October in Bir billing.

- Circling in thermic lift 

- Thermal flying, rules air law

- Safe AGL to fly

- XC flying, Choosing a line

- Head wind and tail winds in XC

- Where and how to find lift
- Skew-t reading and weather forecasting

- Polar curve and angle of attack

- Ground speed and air speed

- Reserve deployment procedure

- Radio communications

- Retrieve methods

- Things to carry for a XC flight

- Weather, clouds and what they mean to pilots

- When not to fly

- Flying in teams

- Some basic survival skills and first aid

- Equipment information 

- Gaining local information

Out Landings, and different Take-off sites

- Taking off in varied wind conditions

-Finding a safe landing area

- Cross wind and tail wind landings

- Tree landings

- Top landings in thermic sites

- Over night camping 

Required skills to pass as a P4 pilot

After completing the course with us you will also require to fulfill these criteria's to gain your P4

- 60 hours of flying

- Pass the written and oral exam

- do not fly in thermals with more then 4 m/s height gain 

- Demonstrate

1. Confident Take-off and landing skills in varied conditions

2. controlled 360° turns

3. Glider control in the air through thermic conditions

4. 5 landings within 15mts radius

5. Clear site and weather analysis

6. Basic SIV should be cleared and certificate shown

7. Basic understanding of airspace and how to apply for clearances
