Get to know her more
Naasha began her flying journey alongside her father, Khushroo, in 2018. What started as a shared adventure quickly revealed itself as a lifelong calling. As she progressed to advanced levels, she saw first-hand how paragliding could fundamentally transform a person — their confidence, their relationship with nature, their entire outlook. That realization lit a fire: she wanted to share this transformation with as many people as possible.
In 2021, she began instructing under her father's guidance at their school in Goa. But ambition pushed her further. She travelled to Santa Barbara, California, to train at Eagle Paragliding — one of the most respected paragliding schools in the United States and the world — completing two intensive six-month seasons. She returned to India carrying an internationally sharpened teaching vocabulary: precision in feedback, clarity in progression, and an understanding of what student pilots need at each stage of their journey.
In August 2025, she travelled to Canada and earned her official HPAC instructor rating, adding international accreditation to a skill set already proven across two continents. Alongside her flying credentials, Naasha holds a Master's degree in Sports Psychology — a qualification she actively applies in the field. Understanding the mental barriers that hold new pilots back, building resilience after difficult landings, and cultivating the sustained focus that safe flying demands: these are not abstract theories for Naasha; they are core teaching tools.
She is one of India's only qualified female instructor and one of it's few female cross-country and competition paragliding pilots, and has served on the organizing committee for the Paragliding World Cup, including performing glider checks at International level event. Beyond the sky, she is a national-record-holding speed skater and holds skiing certification from IISM in Gulmarg along with a Mountaineering certification from NIM Uttrakhand — a breadth of athletic experience that deeply informs the way she reads terrain, weather, and body mechanics with her students.
Six years on, Naasha leads a full schedule of courses at Paragliding Bawas — from two-day P1 introductory sessions to advanced thermal and XC clinics. Her deepest satisfaction comes not from solo flights, but from watching her students launch independently for the first time and many more times to come.
