Panchgani's terrain creates weather that changes fast and locally — what's working at one ridge can shut down minutes later somewhere else nearby. That instability is exactly what makes it valuable: pilots who fly here well can read conditions almost anywhere in India afterward. This is not a beginner-friendly trip, and it isn't meant to be.

P4 rating and basic SIV are non-negotiable
Panchgani's shifting micro and macro weather systems can punish hesitation or misjudged conditions. We only accept pilots who hold a P4 rating and have completed basic SIV (Simulation d'Incident en Vol) training — this is a safety requirement, not a formality.

Eligibility requirements

P4 rating minimum
Advanced Pilot certification or its verified equivalent is mandatory — no exceptions.
Basic SIV completed
You must have completed at least a basic SIV course, demonstrating control during in-flight incidents.
4–5 day window
Enough days are built in to wait out unsuitable weather without compromising on safety.
