SOLO PILOT REFRESHER COURSE

FOR LICENSED PILOTS

Trained for months.
Still not flying
SOLO?

This course is built for one thing: turning pilots who depend on instructors into pilots who don't — ever again. Ground sessions, live flying feedback, and the mental toolkit to make safe, independent decisions.

The Real Problem

Most schools aren't training you.
They're processing you.

What usually happens at other schools

Many paragliding schools are built around throughput — the more students they cycle through, the better. The result: an instructor who sets up your glider, calls your launch, makes every decision for you, and sends you through the course on autopilot. You complete the hours. You get the rating. And you stand at the top of a hill alone for the first time and realise — you have no idea what you're actually doing.

It's not incompetence. It's incentive. A pilot who depends on instructors is a pilot who keeps paying for instruction.

How we think differently

We measure our success by whether you stop needing us. Every session at Paragliding Bawas is designed to build your judgment — how to read the wind, assess a launch, make the call yourself. Like a good school, our job is to prepare you for a world where your instructor isn't standing next to you.

We've had multiple students come to us frustrated — rated, but grounded — who are now flying independently. That track record is the only credential that matters here.

Review

I completed my courses at the school in Kamshet, but I felt a lack of understanding in the basics, theory, and launches. I worked with Khushroo to address these gaps extensively and build my understanding from the ground up. His approach is scientific, and he ensures that everything happening to your glider has a clear reason behind it. Very very patient with students. Superb mentor. I also worked on my landings with Naasha. She offers a very clear and structured approach, carrying the same depth and clarity in her teaching. Both are extremely knowledgeable and they make a great team. For folks who have completed P3 and P2 and have a gap should surely reach them out

Solo pilot refresher

Who is this course for?

This course is for pilots who already hold a rating but still don't feel confident flying without an instructor present. It's built for three groups specifically: pilots who trained elsewhere and feel their ground handling, launch decisions, or weather reading aren't consistent; pilots returning after a long break who want supervised sessions before going solo again; and pilots who simply want honest feedback on what's holding their flying back, not reassurance.

Do I need a minimum rating to join?

Yes. You should already hold at least a P2 rating from a recognised school. This isn't an introductory course — if you've never flown before, start with our P1 Introductory course instead.

How is this different from a regular paragliding course?

Our P1–P3 courses follow a fixed syllabus toward a new rating. The Refresher Course has no syllabus. Your instructor diagnoses exactly what's stopping you from flying independently — a launch habit, a weather call, a gap in ground handling — and the day is built around fixing that one thing, not ticking off a checklist.

What's included in the ₹5,000/day fee?

A full day of training with no hourly clock, delivered by ACI-qualified instructors. Depending on what you need, the day can include ground sessions, supervised flying, and theory — and you get access to 2 flying sites and 2 kiting sites, with your instructor choosing the location based on the day's conditions and your specific gaps. equipment is not included.

How many days will I need?

It depends entirely on what's holding your flying back. Some pilots close a single launch or weather-reading habit in one day; others need a few sessions across different conditions to feel solid. Message us on WhatsApp with where you trained and what you're struggling with, and we'll give you a realistic estimate before you book.

I trained at a different school — can I still join?

Yes — most pilots on this course come to us from other schools. We regularly work with pilots who are rated but grounded, and helping them close that gap is the entire reason this course exists.

I haven't flown in a long time. Is that a problem?

Not at all — a long break is one of the most common reasons pilots take this course. We'll run supervised ground and flying sessions to rebuild your currency and judgement before you fly independently again.

How is this different from 1-on-1 training?

1-on-1 training is open to any skill level, including complete beginners, and can be used to fast-track any specific skill. The Solo Pilot Refresher Course is specifically for already-rated pilots whose goal is flying independently, without an instructor standing next to them. If you're not sure which fits, message us and we'll point you to the right one.

Who will be training me?

All instruction is delivered by ACI (Aero Club of India) certified instructors. The school is founded and run by Khushroo and Naasha Pithawalla, who also hold HPAC instructor certification.

How do I book?

The fastest way is to message us on WhatsApp at +91 98209 11994. You can also fill out the booking form directly, and we'll confirm your dates and sites based on your gaps and the weather.
