P2 FAQs
What is the total cost of P2?
P2 is a 7 days course and is priced at a rate of ₹7,000/- day which gets the total up to ₹49,000/-. This covers all equipment and training requirements for the course.
Is the P2 certificate internationally recognized, and what does it mean?
Yes, the P2 IPPI rating is internationally recognized. However what it means that you are at a level where you require the inputs of an instructor in order to fly, and will require to go to a certified school.
What happens if the weather prevents flying on a day?
Ground theory and simulator sessions are conducted. when the weather is not supporting safe flying operations. Further if you get too unlucky we will reschedule with you and get you the flying time you desire and so you can complete your licensing course requirements.
Do I need to have completed P1 before joining P2?
No prior certification is required to enrol in P2 — the course includes all P1 content within its curriculum. If you've already done a P1 with us or another school, your instructor will factor that in from day one.
What equipment is provided, and do I need to bring my own?
All equipment — wing, harness, helmet, and radio — is included in the course fee. You don't need to own anything to start. If you already have your own gear, let us know when you enroll and we'll advise whether it's suitable for the course.
If you get good hiking shoes and full sleeves sun protection, it will help you stay more comfortable.
Will I be flying alone, or will an instructor be with me?
Every flight is radio-guided — your instructor talks you through each stage from the ground via walkie-talkie. You are the one controlling the glider, but you're never without guidance until your instructor is confident you're ready for that.
98% students want to attempt it themselves, but if you are extremely nervous, we can do 1 tandem flight with you as an exception case.
What happens after P2 — where does it lead?
P2 qualifies you to fly under instructor supervision at certified schools. The natural next step is our P3 Novice Pilot course, where you progress to fully independent flying at your home site, and unlock the ability to join our Thermal and Cross-Country clinics.
