Getting Ready for Your First Paragliding Adventure in ALIBAUG? Wondering what you need to carry?

Are you gearing up for your first paragliding experience in Alibaug? We’re here to make sure your adventure with Paragliding Bawas is smooth, safe, and unforgettable. During your course, we provide all essential paragliding equipment—including your paraglider, harness, helmet, and radio.

Your comfort matters just as much as your gear, so here are some key tips to help you enjoy your paragliding training in Alibaug to the fullest.

1. What Clothes to Bring for Paragliding

When attending your paragliding course in Alibaug, we recommend:

  • Long-sleeved shirts: They protect you from the sun and help prevent minor scratches during ground handling.

  • Track pants instead of jeans: Track pants offer better flexibility and cushioning if you take a fall.

  • Yoga pants: Are also a good way to go

  • Hat: Most training happens in the afternoon and evening, so a hat will help protect you from the sun.

Wearing comfortable clothing helps you focus entirely on learning and improving your paragliding skills.

2. Shoes for Paragliding

Footwear plays a crucial role in your paragliding experience in Alibaug:

  • High-ankle hiking shoes: Ideal for ankle support and reducing injury risk while running or climbing small hills (around 70 meters altitude).

  • Normal running shoes: these are not as safe as high ankle shoes but will also do.

Choose non-slip, flexible shoes—they are an essential part of safe and confident flying.

3. Food and Hydration

To get the most out of
your sessions, stay well-fed and hydrated:

  • Water: Carry at least 1 liter of water. Adding electrolytes is highly recommended.

  • Snacks: Bananas, oranges, nuts, or energy bars are perfect for quick energy between training runs.

  • Meals: You can grab a snack or a full meal at local spots near the take-off areas. Many places can pack food for you if you prefer.

Proper hydration and nutrition will help you stay alert, energized, and ready to learn.

4. Personal Belongings

For valuables such as your phone or wallet:

  • Store them safely in the back pocket of your harness (your instructor will guide you), or

  • Leave them in your car or with a trusted person at the training site.

This ensures your belongings stay safe while you focus on the skies.
